Had the best experience! Went over all my concerns with me. Had a little problem with an eyelash but the Dr. took care of it. Staff and Dr. we’re great

The Doctor explains to the patient in very easy terms. Doesn't recommend glasses is surgery is needed. I really appreciated that.

I appreciate the care and assistance from the fine folks at State St. Optics; I have been a patient of Dr. Near's for over 30 years, and am grateful for his expertise and calm, friendly manner. The staff are all terrific, and I just have one suggestion: Update the messages sent via text and email to reflect the current office phone number!

My family has always gone to St. Louis optics to see Dr Near . The staff has really changed at that office now with Lisa being gone and it just don’t feel the same. We went to The Alma office this year and one staff member really stepped up to help us Tina was very friendly and very helpful with picking out our glasses, I have never picked glasses out as fast as I did this time. She went above and beyond to help both my husband and myself, and Dr Near is always so nice and friendly. Thank you Tina for being so kind and helpful 😊

Very clean office. I didn't have to wait in waiting room for a long time. About 5 minutes. The eye doctor I saw was very kind, professional and knowledgeable. The same with her staff. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Shelby Alba to all.

All of the staff went out of their way to make sure my needs were met, and I came away with a great looking pair of glasses! I can’t wait until they get here!

Kathy helped us first with a new frame for some broken glasses at a great price ! My husband really liked the Optometrist - very friendly and knowledgeable. Megan helped my husband pick out new glasses - 2 pair! - with all the necessary items, tints, scratch resistant - all done with a friendly smile and knowledge to create the perfect eye glasses for him. We will definitely be coming back for here for all our eye and glasses needs - and highly recommend Oscoda Optics for all your eye checks and eye glasses. Thank you for a job well done!!

I ordered a replacement set of glasses on Sept 23, 2025. I was told it would take approx 2 weeks to receive. i contacted them on oct 8th & was advised they wouldn't be ready until Oct 16th as the lab did not get the tint sample. I was contacted on Oct 22nd & was told that the lab did not roll & polish the lenses which required them to send them back to the lab to have this completed & was told they would put a rush on the order. I was contacted on October 28th advising me that my glasses were in & ready to be picked up. Upon picking them up, discovered the prescription was incorrect as they ordered my reading prescription not for distance sight. On Nov 4th I received a call stating the glasses are in however, the lenses were tinted with a sunglasses dark tint. This required them to be sent back once again & was told they would put a rush order on it. I contacted them today Nov 13th and was told that they would not be ready until November 18th! How happy would you be with this type of service? I wish to add that the Staff, Optometrists & Facility are top notch & very professional. This type of an issue is a first for me & from what I understand a first for InSight Optics. Nonetheless, very frustrating to say the least. Hopefully this comes to a favorable resolve sortly.

Everyone is very nice and very helpful; I've always felt pampered when I've gone there. Dr. Mitchell was wonderful & just retired, but his new replacement ophthalmologist is very nice & informative.

Everyone i dealt with was great. Dr. Kesti explained everything so that it was easy to understand. They've also been easy to see for emergency visits. Very grateful for that!
